Sewing Tips & Tricks
Satin stitch is a great stitch to use for decorative sewing or for finishing off the edges of appliques. If you find that your satin stitch doesn’t give full coverage of the underlying fabric,to remedy this, simply sew another row of satin stitch over the first row. Make sure you have plenty of stabilizer support underneath to prevent puckering of the fabric, and if necessary, adjust the tension by reducing it slightly.
