The little journal that I’ve been working on these past few days is now completed. The cover and pages were made using paper and fabric gel plate prints that I’ve been making during the past week. You can see how I progressed here. I also made a small fabric collage for the front cover using one of my PhotoArt images printed onto fabric.
I’ll be using this journal as a visual reminder of this 30 day challenge to re-ignite my daily artistic practice, so I have a few pages to complete in order to catch up from the last eight days, and then moving forward I can do a page every day.
The pages are small – 4-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ – so it won’t take very long to complete each page, and they have already been colored so there’s no fear of the facing the dreaded blank page.
I made the cover so it wrapped around to the back and I won’t have to worry about things falling out.
It’s almost too pretty to use.
During the weekend I have a digital break (no internet or email) however this weekend I’ll be filling in some of the pages in my journal, so check back on Monday to see how things go.
